A training programme on First Aid has been organized at Aditi Mahavidalaya on 06.02 2019 in the College Hall, for the students of the college. There was an active participation of around 140 students in the training programme. The session on First Aid Training was organized by Dr. Bhawna Rajput under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Mamta Sharma and facilitated by Dr. Sunil Thakur, Chief Medical Officer, WUS Health Centre, University of Delhi, Shri Mohan Sharma, Head (Institutional Sales), and Ms Reena Uniyal, Educator Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla. The training focused on the objectives of First Aid, performance of CPR, Definition and type of Bandages, Wound Care, Management of every day minor accidents, Minor cuts, Grazes, Bleeding and Burns and Treatment of Breathing Casualty. First Aid generally consists of a series of simple and in some cases, potentially life saving techniques that an individual can be trained to perform with minimal equipment. After the training sessions, the students felt confident of providing first aid during emergencies. At the end of the training, certificates were provided to the participants. In an effort to promote proper disposal of menstrual waste and promote the Swachh Bharat Mission, Sanitary Pad Incinerators has been installed in the college on this occasion. The incinerator is donated by Amoli Society for Women and arranged by Dr. Jagmohan and Ms. Nupur and their team members. The incinerator will enable the eco-friendly disposal of menstrual waste. This incinerator is small in size and very easy to use.
