Symposium on "Empowerment of the Differently Abled: Issues, Concerns and Interventions", On 2nd March, the Department of Social work and Enabling Unit of the college organized a symposium in partnership with Pt. Deen dayal Upadhyay National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on “Empowerment of the Differently Abled: Issues, Concerns and Interventions”. The aim of this symposium was of this symposium were: Sessions by the government officials on the entitlements they were Shri M. L. Meena, Ms Mita Singhal, Shri AMR Suresh, Mr. Mahesh Sharma. The faculty of the Department of Social Work spoke on the psychological, social and economic needs of Differently Abled. They were Dr. Manju Goel, Ms. Mali, and Mr. Baldev Gulati. Session on introduction to sign language was taken by Ms. Shalini from NOIDA Deaf society. Besides this, The Blindfold walk was also an attraction to the students. The sharing of experiences after the Blindfold walk was also an eye opener even for the faculty and external resource persons. The department on this occasion also organized a poster making competition.
