Diwali Mela is a socio-cultural programme which provides a platform for interaction and enjoyment to students as well as the NGOs. Diwali Mela 2019-20 was held on October 22nd, 2019 to create awareness that “Diwali is the festival of lights, not noise”. Hence, Diwali Mela, celebrated with theme of ‘Jashan-E-Roshini’ which eventually promotes cracker free Diwali. More than 20 stalls were from Various non-governmental organizations and students participated in Diwali Mela and put up stalls of handmade/handicraft items, food, games, etc. in the college ground. The stalls of NGOs and other people are as follows: Chief guest of Diwali Mela was Dr. Sunil Kumar Khetarpal, Chief Transformation Officer, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Rohini, Delhi. Dr. Neera Agnimitra head, Department of social Work, University of Delhi was the Guest of Hour shared her views on concept pollution free Celebration of festivals and she appreciated the initiation of students and faculties to organize big events like NGO met and Diwali mela. There was a street play by Asmita group.
