Various Activities in the College

Navya
The annual college magazine offers a platform to the students and staff members to express their creative skills and imagination. It includes articles in English, Hindi and Sanskrit. Each section is edited by a student editor under the guidance and supervision of Magazine Committee.

Aarohi,
the newsletter of the Department of B. El. Ed. provides an opportunity to the students to share innovative and creative ideas on issues related to children and their education particularly at the elementary level. It documents the department’s activities, experiences and events of the year. Articles and write ups from education department of different colleges are also invited and published. This newsletter is a collective effort by the faculty members and the students.

Aditi-Samachar,
the newsletter published by the Department of Hindi Journalism provides the students the medium to express themselves on contemporary issues with the help of articles, film reviews, advertisement and cartoons.

Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)
was setup by the University of Delhi to address the issues concerning SC,ST, OBC and person with disabilities. The objective of the cell is to sensitize the academic community consisting of staff and students to the problem and strength of differently abled, to make the total environment secure, accessible and friendly for the disabled. It also helps in providing tuition assistance and special equipments (Braille library, audio book resource centre, computer lab etc.), educational counseling and trained readers and writers to the differently abled. EOC, University of Delhi along with NTPC are conducting short term courses meant to primarily train PwD’s (person with disabilities) and others with job oriented essential skills along with raising awareness of disability issues.

Student’s Union,
Each college student is a member of the Student’s Union and annually participates in the election of Office Bearers viz. President, Vice-President, Secretary. Elections are usually held in the month of September every year. The Student Union is affiliated to Delhi University Student Union (DUSU). The union organizes various cultural events and an annual picnic which are planned under the supervision of Students Union Advisory Committee of the college.

Annual Festival – Utsav,
The annual festival is a much awaited event of the college. It is a showcase of students talent in various cultural activities such as classical and folk dance, mehandi, rangoli, poem recitation, debate, drama, music etc. Apart from various inter and intra-college competitions in these events, live performances of artists are also organized. The college festival is a cultural bonanza of the students, for the students and by the students.

Fresher’s Orientation Day,
Aditi Mahavidyalaya welcomes its new student members with an Orientation Programme on the first day the college reopens after its summer break. Not only the students are familiarized with the college environment they are also acquainted with the important rules and regulations, activities and facilities.

Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis & Malaria (GFATM),
Aditi Mahavidyalaya is working with Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM). Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) is a global initiative that promotes health and well-being in resource-poor countries. GFATM assists the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) in this initiative.

This five year project’s main goal is to halt and reverse the epidemic of HIV/AIDS in India. The main purpose of this project is to strengthen human and institutional capacities of the National health system to enable and accelerated implementation of the National AIDS Control Program. Aditi Mahavidyalaya is a sub-sub centre that is in charge of the whole of Delhi, in training counselors working in the field of HIV/AIDS. Aditi Mahavidyalaya will also be a Resource Centre and will contribute in the awareness, control and prevention of the deadly diseases HIV/AIDS, which is posing to be a great threat to the development of our country and a high percentage of persons are suffering directly or indirectly from this problem.

Aditi Mahavidyalaya is working hand in had with almost forty reputed and prestigious organizations spread all over the country. Aditi Mahavidyalaya will be known at international forum too as Global Fund is an internationally reputed organization working all over the world.
