Research Grant Scheme
The research centre of the college will provide the financial support for Undergraduate (UG) Student research projects to the faculty members for the research projects involving students as the team members. The centre will mainly support the UG student research projects which are socially relevant, nationally important and globally significant.
RULES AND REGULATIONS/ ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR RESEARCH GRANT
- All Permanent/Temporary/Ad hoc faculty members of the college are eligible to apply who would be the Principal Investigator/ Co- Investigator of the project.
- An individual faculty member can avail only one project at a time under this scheme.
- The Principal Investigator (PI) should mandatorily involve undergraduate students in the project.
- All team members must be the faculty or the student of the college.
- The grant will comprise of the maximum amount of Rs.10,000/- which will be released to the Principal Investigator. The first installment of the grant will comprise of Rs.6,000/- and on the receipt of the final report, the second installment of maximum of Rs.4,000/- will be released.
- The tenure of a project will be for the maximum period of 12 months.
- Project will not be transferable in any case. If a Principal Investigator fails to complete the project on time, he/she has to refund the entire amount.
- Teachers seeking research grant will be required to submit the research proposal in the prescribed proforma.
- The research proposals should be unique and will be duly assessed by the Expert Committee and the decision of the Committee will be final and binding. Research Proposal will be assessed on the basis of criterion such as research topic, use of scientific aspects involved, methodology of collecting and analyzing data and overall quality of the work.
- A researcher must submit the plagiarism free research project report, and publish at least one research article in the Scopus/UGC Care indexed journal(s) out of the project.
- Foreign travel is strictly prohibited in this scheme.
- On the completion of the project, the principal investigator should submit the final research project report, copy of Plagiarism report of research project (of standard plagiarism checker software such as Urkund/Ithenticate/Turnitin etc.), statement of expenditure along with original bills/documents supporting the amount spent and a duly filled declaration form.
