Since the inception of the college in 1994, the Department of English has been fully functional with the aim of igniting learners’ enthusiasm and nurturing their interest in the study and practice of the English language as part of the curriculum. The faculty is highly qualified, sincere and hardworking. To stay current with the latest trends in English literature and language, they make special efforts to update their knowledge bank through regular participation in seminars and workshops.They have published articles in national and international journals to enhance their professional expertise.

The Department of English regularly conducts Inter/intra-college competitions, workshops, conferences, and other events to enrich students’ competence levels. The performance of students in university examinations is highly commendable. With the New Education Policy emphasizing multidisciplinary and employability of youth, we are well-prepared to usher in the envisioned changes.
