Nutrition and Health Education discipline will help the students in understanding the academic field of nutrition and its linkages with related disciplinary areas. This discipline equips the students to develop an inclusive and multidimensional understanding of the fundamentals of nutrition, food science, nutritional concerns in various stages of the life cycle, food safety, food hygiene and sanitation, food and nutrition security as well as the vast spectrum of malnutrition. This program furnishes the students with appropriate skill development, academic understanding, entrepreneurship, community engagement, and employment across diverse fields such as community nutrition, health clinics, NGOs, etc. In addition, they will be able to use the knowledge, understanding, and skills required for identifying nutrition-related issues and problems, drawing on a wide range of information as well as its application in addressing those issues. Further, the students can also set up an entrepreneurial venture to offer health and nutrition-based solutions and services. In addition, the students are also equipped to set up a small-scale food enterprise or can also engage in writing food blogs, etc.
