The department of Psychology commenced in 1996 in Aditi Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi. Prof Priya Kanwar was the pioneer faculty who single handed worked for the establishment of this department. Later in 2008 Dr Ritu Sharma joined the department as an Assistant Professor. Psychology is in high demand hence most fascinating for the students. It opens up the opportunity for self-employment even after graduations. Every year we get highly motivated, disciplined and dedicated students. It is because of their enthusiasm that department has started it’s own association ‘Empathy’ where students get opportunity to refine their leadership and management skills.  Along with this department promotes research at undergraduate level. Our strength is the competent faculty which is involved in researches, paper writing, books/ chapter writing along with regular teaching. Department of Psychology has well-equipped lab with lots of psychological tests. Time to time department organizes various workshops, seminar, conferences for student development.
